I believe that our bodies are meant to be extensions of ourselves. I come from a background in wrestling and freerunning where I used my body to explore and define who I was as a person. Since then I’ve gotten involved in obstacle course races and endurance challenges while maintaining personal bodybuilding goals. My training focuses on preparing for what life might throw at you and looking good while doing it. Whether that’s sprinting up stairs so you don’t miss your flight or helping a family member move into their new place, I believe in a practical type of fitness.
I’ve been involved in fitness for eleven years and professionally training others for four. Everyday I make it my goal to better myself and grow as a trainer just as I ask my clients to better themselves and move toward their goals every day.
I’m a native Houstonian and lived here my entire life. I became a boxer at the age of 16 and am a 2-time Golden Glove winner. After winning a championship in the gulf coast female tournament, I left my amateur career with a record of 12-0 with 4 KO. I am now 1-0 professionally.
I’ve always been active and love sports that really push me. I became a firefighter/emt, had two boys, and am now returning to my passion of boxing and am on the road to turning pro with a debut sometime in 2016.
Along with being a spin instructor, I’ve always found that personal training combines my love of fitness with my love of meeting and getting to know new people.
Fitness isn’t solely about the physical; it is equal parts mental and emotional. I have fallen in love with taking care of all aspects and I aim to inspire others to find their personal balance.
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and have a background in competitive dancing. I attended Texas A&M University, where I acquired a B.S. degree in Biomedical Science. Although I found a passion for anatomy and physiology, I did not fully immerse myself into the fitness world until after I graduated from college and completed my personal training certification from ACE. Fitness has allowed me to give my stress an outlet and find genuine strength and happiness.
Throughout my 2 years as a personal trainer, I have focused my training techniques around flexibility and core exercises. Our core holds us together and dictates just about every movement we make, so I encourage people to treat it well. I believe improvement in these aspects lead to a much more mobile and pain-free life, and who doesn’t want that?
